We look forward to hosting your group at the Sea Island Golf Club. Our facility has two championship courses that provide an exceptional golf experience.
We recommend the group conduct a small event or tournament to enhance your golf experience.
Your group will be assigned a group professional who will be our contact for all group functions during your stay. Your group professional will assist with tee times, pairings, event formats, scoring and starting.
Players can then gather after the event here at The Lodge for a reception and tournament results or results can be announced at a dinner engagement that evening.
Golf Learning Center Events for Groups
Some examples of events that have been very successful in the past are:
- Scramble – All players tee off, select the most desirable shot and play their ball from that location. This is repeated for every stroke.
- Shamble – Everyone tees off and plays his own ball from the best tee shot.
- 2-Man Best Ball – The low net score on each hole determines the 2-man team's score.
- Modified Stableford – Points are awarded for players' actual score on a hole.
The group may also have a special contest on the course. Sample contests include Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Most Accurate Drive, Longest Putt and Beat the Pro.
